Today we shoved off on our Rogue River Adventure. The water was clear and cold and the sky was sunny. The scenery was great as we drifted the flat water with my daughter Jeni at the oars…she was in control of life & limb for the six of us in the raft. It wasn’t long till we entered our first rapid and Jeni used the oars to maneuver the raft safely thru the whitewater and into a swirling eddy to await the next raft or to rescue anyone who had fallen overboard. Those who tried the one-man inflatable Duckies had a thrilling ride thru the rapids. Later in the day we beached the rafts and set up camp for the night. With dry clothing and a great meal under our belt we gathered around and enjoyed some wonderful music performed by two of the crew, Billy and Katrina…it was awesome! No one wanted to go to bed…except the crew…they had to rise early the next morning.
