Sunday Sept 6 Rafting day-4

Today started with a great breakfast…the crew worked magic with the remaining equipment and supplies. Rain had blessed us during the night adding to the enjoyment of wet clothing, sleeping bags, and personal items. After securing all equipment we embarked on the final leg of the trip…sometime rainy, sometime sunny. After yesterday’s excitement we were ready to just lay back and enjoy the rolling river and wildlife. We spotted an Osprey carrying a branch, a Bald Eagle perched in the top of a dead tree, ducks in the water, turtles and more beautiful scenery along the river. We stopped for lunch on a rock shelf with a pretty, little waterfall nearby. Our take out point arrived too quickly…a group photo and a crew photo were composed…then we were on our way back to Galice along a 37 mile, winding, mountain top, one lane road to pick up our vehicles. Wow! What a trip.
